Have you tired changing the settings on the monitor? You can usually change the colour/contrast? is it a flat screeen or larger old style of monitor?

it is a lager old stye ibm moniter ,yes i trie the setting it is still yellow really hurts my eyes. thanks for trying to help

Check to make sure your video cards is secure in the slot. (If not onboard video.) Removing and reinserting will also help to clean oxides from the connectors.

Ensure your monitor cable is secure to the video (card) connector. (ie; Screws or thumbknobs are snug. Be careful, it doesn't take much to snap them.) Also ensure there are no bent pins in the connector.

Can you swap another monitor to eliminate the monitor as the cause?
