Hi again
Encountered a problem this morning that I have had before and rectified easily, whilst on the web I hit my browser back button and at the same time (within seconds) tried to open word... the PC crashed and everytime I try and open word I get the egg cursor and nothing else happens, after ctr alt delete I get low in resources come up. I guess one thing should be fully done before starting another, I must say the web page was half way through opening when I hit microsoft word.

When I done this before someone told me to go to find and type in normal or something like that.... DOT also rings a bell, they said if there are 2 delete one. I can not remember the exact word to type into find?

Can anyone help... I have lots of letters to write TONIGHT and am well stuffed!

I dont think this is related to my RAM problem (of which I still have not sorted), as this once happened before the supposidly dodgy RAM was fitted.

Last time I even re-installed word but it did not help... it was definitly something to do with the normal dot thing!

Phew Sorted it I think, done a search on google using keyword "normal dot delete" and got 2 million sites saying DONT delete it but rename it, only had one normal file when I tried finding it in flies and folders so renamed it "normal2" and hey presto word opened straight after!

Out of interest ( and I dont understand this normal business) is what happened to me today common? Why did the problem arise with me clicking the browser back button and opening word at the same time... can't PC's cope with this??
