hi i sold my old computer and kept my windows 98 se cd and and boot disk,as they where going to install xp
i have been given a computer but there is missing files on it so i want to load my windows98se disc but cannot load this cd on, am not even sure what to do with the boot disk. i believe i have to reformatt the hard drive first. With no books is there any one that can guide me in the right direction. would be most appreciated. jacqui

Hi Jacqui,
i found this web site a while ago and you cant fault it. ive learnt how to do both win 98 and Xp installations from their instructions. I did however format my hard drive with win 98 first by restarting my pc hold down delete key, select command prompt only (c:\) then type in format c: then followed in instructions for re-installing off web site. (dont forget to print out the instructions first it helps)
