Does this happen to be an HP computer? Do you have an HP all in one printer, scanner hooked up?

Assuming this is being caused by your HP all in one, please click HERE for the solution to this error, HTH

    Ok, just trying to help

See if this applies to your problem

    (From the HP support website)

To resolve the problem, disable hpcmpmgr.exe running from the MSConfig utility. Follow these steps to disable hpcmpmgr.exe file:

    1. Click Start and Run.
    2. Type MSCONFIG and press Enter.
    3. Click the Startup tab.
    4. Clear the checkboxes for hpcmpmgr.exe.
    5. Click OK.
    6. Restart the system.

After disabling the hpcmpmgr.exe file from the MSConfig utility, check whether you are experiencing the same problem or not.

Go to the Start Menu > Programs > Startup.

Are there any HP-related items in their? If so, right-click on them, go to Cut, then right-click on the desktop and choose Paste. This will move them from the Startup folder to the desktop so that they won't run the next time you reboot your PC (but we'll be able to get them back if it makes no difference).

Reboot and let us know if that helps.

    Click the Start Menu
    Click Run
    Type regedit and click OK

When the Registry Editor opens ......

    Double-click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    Double-click Software
    Double-click Microsoft
    Double-click Windows
    Double-click CurrentVersion

In the tree, you've now got Run, RunOnce and RunServices. If you click each of those, it will show you the entries on the right-hand side of the screen that are set to run each time the PC boots up. Any HP-related stuff in there?
