Im getting "CMoss" settings wrong
Im getting "CMoss" checksum Bad
and Im getting "display Type Wrong"
Iv changed the onboard battery, but still no good.
Please ,Please,Please Can some one help me to get Windows M E Up and running,,,,without haveing to press f1, and f1 again to continoue finding bios set up.Then I can use the computer at leisure. UNTILL I TURN OFF,Then i have to go through the same pain as above to get it to run,

Have you gone into the Bios and saved your Cmos settings?

how can I get into the bios? Iv tryed holding delete no success, allso f1??

The boot message should tell you, F1 to Continue F2 to enter setup or something like that...could be reversed on some MBs.

What does your screen say?

screen says cmoss settings wrong, then cmoss checksum bad,and under that it says cmoss display type wrong. under that it says press f1 to run set up,and under that press f2 to load default values? i pressed f2..... after a while it says press f1 to con"t then it starts to serch for cmoss boot..... then its up and running,

Press F1 next time and go into the Cmos. Make sure it has entries for time, floppy, etc. and then go to save settings. This will either be F10 or a menu item.

when i re-start windows m/e (not shut down,) it starts up o/k........time annall. Shut down????have to re set time,date,and year???????? I HAVE PUT A NEW BATERY IN M.BOURD.COULD THIS BE THE PROBLEM???ONGOING..............BEEN ON IT NOW 7HRS NOW.By the way I can not get onto the bios........and do nothing with the the cmoss?? all I can see is four windows??? first window with 5 or 6 choices.Second window with three choices, third window with One?I think its drive symble. And the fourth has three opptions, the 3rd i think gave you "best default setting" . Can anyone help me solve my problem for me?????for my son Thankyou.
