I've received this error code repeatedly while using Outlook Express 6 running on Win98se. I'll be composing a message and click on 'spelling' (or some other command) and cause this error msg. OE must be closed. I loose all previous work and must start over. It is occurring more often and I can't seem to find articles at the MS support site that refer to this specific error code no matter what I type in for the search. The specific code message is : MSIMN has caused a general protection fault in module MMSystem.DLL at 0004:00000db3. Using Google, I can find all kinds of possible fixes for other error codes, but not this particular one. Many of these are "free", (ha!) asking me to download a "bug fix" product. I've tried using the "repair outlook express" function in "tools" (System Information). Does no good.

I just want to find reliable info and get this annoying problem behind me.

Did you see the MS suggestion that system.ini might need a tweak? I know its not your exact error code (is it ever?) but it might be worth a look, it at least mentions your .dll:
