Hi Guys,

Need help here. I wanted to reinstall Win 2K pro in my laptop. saw the thread by DJ Nafey. Did according to what was mentioned in his posting. Everything went on fine.. except when I pressed the install Win 2k Pro, it said that it could not find the CD drive and said press F3 to quit installation. However, the drive is working fine. Don't know what to do.. I would appreciate a response..

Are you booting with the CD in the drive?

Yes, I am booting with CD in Drive.

Just to clarify:

The Windows 2000 Pro CD in the CD drive tells you that it can't find the CD drive?

Do you have a floppy drive? If so you can make a boot disk here:

http://www.bootdisk.com/

This will start the setup then ask for the CD.

If you are sure the drive is ok; are you sure the disk is ok?

Erm...are u booting from the CD ?
External CD drive or internal ?
