    reload win 2000 problem

Help I am a novice on pc issues, I posted a question yesterday and apparantly it was in the wrong place, sorry and I will consider my hands slapped!

My problem is I have been running win 2000 prof. with no problem for some time, but recently I believe I contracted a virus. I tried various things to try and help myself and ended up deleting files and folders and got into a complete mess. I thought no problem I will reload windows, unfortunately when I tried to reload it created a second O.S. taking up precious disk space.
I obtained a set of setup disks and attempted to reload win 2000. Unfortunately, the setup disks load ok but when putting win 2000 into the cdrom drive the system asks for SP4. |This I dont have I downloaded sp4 from windows web site and let it take care of itself. How do I reformat my hard drive and reload win 2000 I do have backups for all the rest of my software.

Thanks for the quick reply, I have tried following that procedure but get stuck because setup will not continue, because it wants SP4. This I dont have because I downloaded sp4 from the web and let it take care of itself
