While I can't be sure, I think I've gone and accidentally moved the Programme Files Folder while in Windows Explorer and Windows will not boot up.

Upon start-up I'm told various Windows folders cannot be located and all I can do is access command prompts in DOS, which I don't know my way around.

The only remedy that springs to mind is reinstalling Windows 98SE from scratch, though I'm not entirely confident I know how to do this from DOS.

If anyone has any suggestions as to how to sort out this mess I'd be very grateful.

You can insert the disks before boot up and reinstall - it should just overwrite what you have and leave everything else intact.
