undefinedundefinedCOULD YOU HELP ME? I HAVE A WINDOWS ME MACHINE AND IT WORKS ON DEFRAG AND SCAN DISK ON SAFE MODE BUT NOT ON REGULAR MODE. WHAT DOES THIS SOUND LIKE TO YOU? IS THERE SOMETHING MISSING IN MY REGISTRY? DO YOU THINK THAT MAYBE IT COULD WORK WITH A WINDOWS 2000 PRO PUT IN THE MACHINE. OR AM I WASTING MY TIME? I AM CONSIDERING UPDATING WITH 2000PRO. IS THE MACHINE PAST IT? IT ALSO HAS A 100 PERCENT OF THE CPU USAGE. THIS IS A HP AND HAS BEEN A GOOD MACHINE.

I used to have that problem sometimes running M(ore) E(rrors) but if it defragged ok in safe mode.........it just may be down to how many processes you've got running

Is your antivirus up to date?..........is your machine full of spyware?

You could always look at this post and if you've not already install ad aware / Spybot ............and have your PC checked out

I still use (have done since 2000.......if I have to) ME on another machine but I do like XP
