Hi

I have a Time Pc here with Windows Me o/s. At times on startup the keyboard does not work.

I have virus checked the PC and checked for spyware - none found.

There appear to be no interupt conflicts.

I have tried a different keyboard, same problem

I have searched MS knowledge base to no avail and found this site via Google.

Anyone like to offer me a suggestion as to what to try next ?

This is a long shot since you imply that it only happens 'sometimes', but I'm bound to ask:
If it is a PS/2 Keyboard (round plug same as a PS/2 mouse) is it in the right PS/2 socket?
The KB and mouse sockets are identical externally but wired up to differrent components inside. KB won't work in mouse socket , and vice-versa.
