Win 98SE - DVD not playing -

Win 98 SE – Laptop Advent 7340DVD the DVD is a Toshiba DVD- Rom SD C2202 ( SM )

This had all worked fine for a number of years but now it’s paying up and I am not able to play a DVD at all.

When I put in a DVD it will not play the result is = Program Not Found – windows cannot find Program.exe and it gives me the option to locate the program.

I have two DVD software players on the laptop the original one ( has been reloaded ) Ali MPG DVD Player and a newer one loaded yesterday Code Morphis DVD Player.( second one now removed )

I am NOT able to run any of the DVDs from within the software.
I can see the files on the discs when opening a window but they will not run.

What am I missing?

How do you play a DVD film (I presume it's a film you are having trouble with)? Does it normally start automatically or do you double-click a file on the DVD?

If you normally start a film by double-clicking a file on the disc, try right-clicking it and selecting 'Open With...' from the menu. Select your DVD software from the list of available programs. Tick the box that says 'Always use this program to open this type of file' or words to that effect.
