    Red face pioneer 107d dvd burner

    We recently installed a internal pioneer 107d dvd burner. You can see it in the BIOS, but it is unrecognizable in explorer. We are using a Windows
    2000 server. We have installed and uninstalled, switched cables, switched drives(we purchased 2, it works fine on the other computer) nothing helps.
    any and all help is appreciated
    thanks,
    judi

    How have you got it configured? as slave off the HD or master on it's own IDE connector. Suggest moving it to it's own IDE if possible.

    Is the BIOS setup correctly? ie Secondary controller Active/Enabled.

    Also try:

    <Device Manager>

    Click first entry in Hard Disk Controllers 'PCI BUS Master IDE Controller'

    Click <Properties> then <Settings>

    In 'Dual IDE Channel Settings' choose "BOTH IDE Channels enabled"
