i have problem in my pc very often "invalid page fault in module MS09.DLL at 016f:308cfaf8" coming up and making me to close down MSword without saving the document while i am working. I have McAfee 8 working and also formated the C: drive. Previously, i had Kernel32.DLL IPF also, but now erros with MS09.DLL still continues. I also get the above fault in winword.exe at 016f:300620be. Please help me to eradicate this problem.

my OS is win98, and the office is msoffice 2000.

Microsoft do not recommend installing Office 2000 with Windows 98. It is a very unstable combination - I've seen it cause me lots of problems when I've installed it on Windows 98 PCs in my office.

There is actually a fix for Word 2000 with Windows 98 that might be relevant to your problem. I'll try and find it for you

Microsoft Support have documented problems with Word 2000 when you use the Cut command. Does the Cut command cause the error message on your system?

They have also documented an invalid page fault in MS09.DLL when playing an embedded MIDI sound file. Could that be relevant?

It seems that the fix that I was talking about is no longer available from the Microsoft web site. If you haven't already done so, it may be worth installing Office 2000 SP2 or SP3, which you can upgrade to by downloading from the Microsoft site here:
