This is what my PC says every time I try to run a CD disk. Can anyone tell me how to correct this? Any help is greatly appreciated! thank you!
Did this just start happening?
Was this drive working ok before?
Check to see if Windows actually recognizes your CD drive, generally loose connections only happen if you have been playing around inside "The Box" or move it about a lot.
To do this open windows explorer (or file management software) and see if D:\ is still listed. Also check in the control panel under System, Hardware, Hardware devices and check to see if there are any yellow (or red) exclaimation icons next to anything. This will at least tell you if Windows (assumed software) has a problem with the drive. If everything checks out ok in there, then if you have access to another computer try swapping the CD drive into it, if still the problem exists then the CD Drive is probably faulty.
Does it occur with just one CD or do others work?
