    adobe photodeluxe home edtition 3.1

    Hi!

Could someone possibly help me with my software problem. Recently, with
the help of DELL, I had to reinstall my windows. I had saved my software on
disks, and now that I want to put them back on my computer-- I get this message saying-- "The drive or network connection that the shortcut
"Adobe photodeluxe home editition 3.1.Ink" refers to is unavailable. Make
sure that the disk is properly inserted or the network resource is available."

I have the main software cd, however, it WILL NOT give me the 3.1 version.
It gives me a 1.0 version instead. So at this point the software cd is no use
to me. I need to rely on the software that is on the disk.

Is there any help out there for my problem?
    Thanks so much, in advance.

    Hi again!

I found "another" copy of the mentioned program/software on a cd. The only problem with installing it is it wont let me. lol I mean it tells me- "A Required .DLL file, "TWAINPP.DLL," was not found. Any help on retreaving such .DLL, and how to install it in this program???
Thanks for any help in advance.

All I can find is Twain files are usually associated with scanners.

It would not be a windows file but an Adobe file.

    Sorry I cannot find more.

Adobe does have a user to user forum that you can register for here:

    good luck

    I've found a possible solution:

Try installing in safe mode. This post claims it works on the second try.

That's what I did, but it still took two cracks at it with a
restart in safe mode in between. It was after that I found the missing
twainpp.dll file in the installed Photodeluxe folder. Perhaps it had been
zipped, and was invisible to Windows previously. Anyway, Photodeluxe works
now. Incidentally, Adobe have quite a comprehensive kb on their site,
although naturally, there is never the answer to the exact problem you have!
