How can I alter my Drives Drivers? I'm all locked out!

    Prelude:

As I have a relatively slow system I downloaded the Intel Application Accelerator, used it before and it worked a treat. This time I did something horribly wrong.
My Drives now have a driver associated with them that is incompatible with them, ie Windows will not boot past NTLDR (or so it seems) for, as soon as the 2K drivers start to load, my disk light does a set seek repetition and finally I get BSOD'ed with some boot disk error message (sorry for imprecise message).

    Where I'm at:

I have had to re-install another instance of my OS (so I can type this). I can't go into safe mode, same BSOD. I can't get into DOS, again BSOD.
I can however load the Recovery Console, and I can log onto the stuffed installation, from this install.

    What I think I want:

    1) Where are the 2k Disk drivers kept? C:/WINNT/??? (I know the names of the drivers.
    2) Where is the association between Drive and drivers held? Registry? some DLL? A small portaloo guarded by elven-gimps?
    3) What recovery console command(s) would be handy in my task of giving windows the correct drivers for my Drive.

Is there a better way (is that a Status Quo line? sniff..."sweet caroline" or "down down" ?)

    Relevant sys:info:
    OS Win2k Pro - SP4
    Support Tools loaded

    ....\System32\Drivers\

OK I've found out where they hang out and I've (somehow) managed to be able to access the bad Installation from the good via windows now, which makes things a bit easier... I hope.

No just need to find out how do I install my drivers without an install routine??

    Anyone?
