I downloaded a copy of the free game 'Digby's Donuts' last night.

Once it had finished downloading and I installed it, I tried to run it.

At that moment in time I got a blue screen of death with an error on it; and was unable to return successfully to my WinME desktop.

Now, whenever I log on to my network/user profile, my computer gives me the same blue screen of death and then dumps me in an empty generic blue desktop with no icons, no command bar, and only cmdinst running.

Can anyone possibly think of a solution to help me with this, please??? I think something fried in the game and it screwed with my .ini or something; but I am not sure, since I can log on to other profile's successfully.

That is, until I try to run the game.

Well I used another profile to uninstall it.

System restore is unavailable as I have had it turned off due to working with some severe computer viruses last week.

My personal profile still won't let me log on - BSOD says a file error: VDD(03) +00001816 Error : 00 : 0028 : c023197a

try pressing f8 when booting your machine

And then do I want safemode, logging, or step by step confirmation?

i have had a look on the google results for that error code the common sense of opinion is to either strip yuor drivers but which ones i am not sure or if you can get into otj=her profiles get in to yours through safe mode back up every thing you need and then create a new profile for yourself it depends if you have a lot of backing up to do

safe mode in ME excludes using a user profile.

All user profiles are already backed up including mine, so I will just copy over my user.dat and then delete my profile and remake it I guess.
