Need to get all gb on my hard drive not 8!
My hard drive shows that there is only 8 gb of usuable space and it is a 40 WD gb drive. How do I repartition it to produce 40 gb? I have used fdisk etc and I can only get 8 gb using Windows Me startup disk. My bios shows 40gb for the drive and Windowsxp shows 40gb but only 8 gb are usable. I find no way of getting back the other 32gb using Windows XP.

Do you have ME & XP on this one drive?
How is the drive partitioned?
Do you want a dual boot ME/ XP set-up? or?

Please read it carefully again. I am asking the person to get the full 40 gb
back. That is how it is partition!! My main drive is XP. The other "bad" drive was, was XP. I tried to partition it for 40gb and forget about dual boot, I don't want it. Please read it carefully again. I will go to another forum for the answer instead of getting a lot of questions. I don't , don't want 8gb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I see no place to respond to your "Did you answer the question" on your
forum. I could not even find new messages.
This is a message to the monitor or chief of this discussion group. All the
guy did was ask questions that were already answered. I will go to another
forum that is more reliable. Donations, are you crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that is your choice jhmac to move your question but i think jephree was correct to ask them quetions as for the donation they are eactly as they say "donations" so that means we are only asking if you think we have helped with your problem if not it aint a problem if you dont want to make a donation
i think it is a bit hard of you to be so arrogant towards somebody who was trying to HELP YOU out of a problem
