i've tryed many ways of removing hotbar. i've used google search engine to get instructions and it won't work. when i got to add/remove, nothing happens. it freezes up on me. HELP

You could try the removal tool found HERE Scroll down to Automatic Removal. HTH, If that doesn't work follow these instructions.
