yeah, i found 2 more things im gonna try now that i found from discussions in google from 2002. If all of that fails ill be back to post my progress by wednesday probably. Im just about to do this laptop a favor and pour some water on it (lol).

Well my dad says he can fix my computer if i get the parallel cable (so you can have the cd-rom and floppy connected at the same time) so i bought one and ill keep you posted.

If you do end up going for the 'ooops, I just spilled a pint of water in the keyboard' trick, try and get some pictures of the laptop on fire and share them with the rest of us ....... oh, and stand well back, lol
