I am trying to defragment my computer. It does good for awhile, but then it says Drive's contents changed:restarting. I have been trying to do it for hours but it keeps on doing that it only goes up to 80% and then starts over. Please help me.

Do you have the screensaver turned off? Try running it in safe mode. Boot the computer and keep tapping the F8 key until you see a list, choose safe mode and run scandisk from there. Safe mode loads the bare necessities so scandisk should complete with out any interruptions.

Thank you! Bless you! I was unable to defrag my ME system. I followed your suggestion (tapping F8), then I selected "safe" mode from the list......and lo and behold! it worked! How can I ever thank you? You're the Boss! You rock!
