Hi Guys

i'm having a problem with an old pc ,getting error 630 when trying to connect to the internet through a 56k Modem ,also says no dialing tone ,checked the cable and connections ,is this a software prob or hard ware.

Could be another device using your Modem or possible hardware failure. Check out this link: http://www.modemsite.com/56k/duns630.asp and see if you can diagnose from there. POst back if you need some more help though.
