    Windows ME Login

    Hi,

Is it possible to remove the login screen when booting up. When I first bought the PC, it booted up without prompting for a login and password. I added a couple user accounts (One for me and one for my wife) to have seperate backgrounds and it turns out my wife hates it and I can't get rid of the login screen now :-( I removed both accounts and tried the msconfig tool with no success. I removed all *.pwl files from the hard drive and the PC is still prompting a login once it boots up. Is there anyway to get the PC to boot straight into windows again?

    Thanks in Advance :-)

Do you hit the cancel or ok button when the login box comes up?
If you have removed the accounts, .pwls and n the User Profiles tab, verify that the All users of this PC use the same preferences and desktop settings option is selected, and then click Close.
Reboot the machine and when the login box comes up click ok without entering a username & password. It shouldn't come back after that.
If it does follow all the steps here. http://support.microsoft.com/default...B;en-us;152104
