Hey,

This is the first major problem ive had with ME in a long time.... OK to tell you how i got to this problem...

I booted in safe mode and ran, Adaware, AVG, SPYBOT, and defrag, than i restarted, for some reason i had to reinstall my video drivers from the original cd..... ok than after everything was said and done i got this problem..

Im in MY COMPUTER\C:\ and for some reason i cant access any folder, all that comes up when i try to open Program Files or Windows or any file listed, i get that stupid OPEN WITH dialog box.

this does not happen when im on the desktop but it only happens when im tryin to access subfolders, like the program files, or when im in My Documents any sub folder under that.

Any ideas?

Try this. Go to 'Add/Remove programs" in control panel. Click on 'Internet Explorer' then 'Add/Remove. You should get an option to 'Repair'. Choose that option. When repair has finished, try your folders again.
