You can configure a second monitor or TV for using Windows 7 to greatly enhance the user experience with applications. A second monitor can be used to show an application such as your inbox, or a spreadsheet for example whilst the other monitor is used for other tasks within Windows 7.

Here is how you configure a second monitor in Windows 7
  • Click the Windows 7 Start Button
  • Click on Control Panel
  • Click Appearance and Personalization
  • Click Adjust Screen Resolution
  • Select the drop-down box next to Multiple Displays
  • Click Extend these displays and then select OK

If you do not have an option for Multiple Displays in the drop down menu then Windows 7 has not detected a second monitor setup on your PC.
