Well your PC doesn't seem too bad really but it depends on what your using it for. Your current rig should manage day to day usage no problem, office applications web surfing and even some basic photo editing / graphic solutions should work fine etc. If you post back your specifics I'm sure you'll get a lot more input.

Do you mean post back less details? I just really wanted to make it a bit quicker so propally processor upgrade as the ram is ok and the HDD;s are ok too. Kust general speed I wanted, but unsure if a new motherbord would be needed for a new processor

Your motherboard should be of the Socket A variety which is good as these are quite versatile, however the D-A-L hardware scan was unable to determine your board details so I can't check what speeds your PC can support. If you can find out your Motherboard make and model number I can give you some options.

I have decided to go far a complete change... I want to get Intel pentium 4 3.4Ghz (LGA775) and a corresponding motherbord, new DDR ram then all my others bits from the old pc should go in aswell like th 200gb hdd and the other 40gb hdd the fdd, cdrw's psu and a new case.

Is there anything I am over looking with this and what mother bord should i use, they all seem to alot of features built in so thats why they have less pci slots than the older ones?
