Hi, Just completed building my own comp.
i have a problem when i start up the system the moniter receives saying No signal
You gave us no specs to go on. I suggest you recheck your power connections and make sure all connections to your motherboard (there are usually 2) and any extra power connections required by your graphics card are securely fastened.
Also, a common mistake by newbies and distracted experts alike it having more standoffs in the case than there are corresponding motherboard mounting holes. This results in the motherboard shorting out when powered on. So you need to verify you only have a standoff where there is a motherboard mounting hole.
hi,
my computer is not recieving a signal to the monitor. i have tried the graphics card, ram and still nothing. The computer is a built one and it has a clean hdd with no os so far because of this problem.
my specs are:
ALBATRON PX865PE PRO MOTHERBOARD 2 X 1GB DDR RAM
3Ghz CPU PENTIUM 4 SOCKET 478
ATI RADEON HD 3650 1GB AGP 8X GRAPHICS CARD
As I said earlier,Also, what do you mean by, "tried the graphics card, ram and still nothing."? What does "tried" mean? You MUST start from the beginning and that is ensuring you have good power and all is connected and assembled properly.I suggest you recheck your power connections and make sure all connections to your motherboard (there are usually 2) and any extra power connections required by your graphics card are securely fastened.
Also, a common mistake by newbies and distracted experts alike it having more standoffs in the case than there are corresponding motherboard mounting holes. thats why i think im just going to buy a new gaming pc and get support from a company rather than build my own.
