    What can my motherboard handle?

    Hi everybody,
My desktop computer is starting to become a bit slow and I want to upgrade it. Not beeing the best with computers, I need your help. I want to know what my motherboard can handle with regards to the Graphic card and the Ram memory.

My motherboard name is TriGem eMachines Imperial/Glendale and its id is 31511.EM.0000.D.0007052014

Other question. If I upgrade my graphic card will it be possible to have a hdmi output?

    cheers

It would probably be easier if you tell us the model number of your eMachines computer as I am not finding anything conclusive for that board.

If your new card supports HDMI, then yes, you will have HDMI output. That should not be a problem, regardless the support the motherboard offers.

However, eMachines is the budget line of computers from Gateway, now part of Acer. I say that because it is typical for eMachines systems to provide little in the way of upgradability. It is likely, for example, your power supply will need to be upgraded in order to support a new card and more RAM.
