Buying A Graphics Card
Hello once again!
I'm interested in purchasing a new graphics card for my desktop PC but I'm looking for a card that will support my 42" Flat screen TV. I can plug the TV into my laptop but the resoultion is not quite right.
So I was wondering if someone could direct me to a graphics card that would show the TV clearly.
I was looking for a low budget card.
Thanks in advance

You need to determine the ideal resolution for your TV. It will be in the manual. Then find a card that will support it. I suspect that will not be a problem. You also need to determine the type connector your TV supports. For the best image, a digital input via DVI or HDMI is needed and you will need a card that supports that. Otherwise, an analog (D-Sub) connection will do. Other than that, we cannot recommend anything because we know absolutely nothing about your computer or the type graphics interface it supports. If a newer computer, it most likely supports PCIe (PCI Express), but if older, it may support AGP, or PCI only. And note that "low budget" for you may be $50. But considering there are cards out there exceeding $1000, low budget for someone else might be $200. So you need to be more specific on your budget.
Finally, understand that graphics cards are often the most power hungry devices in a computer. You must ensure your current power supply will support the demands of any new card under consideration.
Once you determine the above, see Toms Hardware, Best Graphics Cards for the Money - December 2010.
