Turns on, beeping noise, and monitor is blank
Hello all, I have a problem with my computer. To summarize the problem: it turns on, there is a beeping noise, and the monitor is blank. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I had to place it in the car for the last 2 days, because of the California wildfires imminent in my area. The ride in the car may have been enough to cause some pieces to move or something.
I used it yesterday with no problem.
It worked this morning, until it suddenly froze up (no sound, screen movement, nothing) while I was playing a game that had previously never caused any problem with my computer. The FPS about over 50, and I was getting no lag, but then it suddenly froze at the most random time. Like, I could see the last frame, but nothing moved and there was no sound. This happened about 5 times this morning and I resetted each time to start using the computer again. For the last time it froze and...
I resetted the computer and the monitor went blank.
I resetted the computer again and the BIOS text when you start a computer showed up, but nothing else happened.
I resetted the computer and the KV2 Lite emblem and all showed up, which is normal, but it froze.
I resetted the computer and it finally worked and waited a few minutes, checked the task manager to find out my computer was at 8-20% CPU usage eventhough I had nothing running, and then the screen completely froze.
I resetted the computer and the monitor went blank and I hear a beeping sound.
There was a beeping sound coming from the computer like this: beep for 2 seconds...2 second pause...beep for 2 seconds...2 second pause repeating.
Somethings like this have happened a few times in the past year, so I turned the computer off and came back in a couple of hours to turn it on, but the beeping sound started again.
I think there is something wrong with the monitor connection to the video card, but that's just a guess.
In the past, sometimes it wouldn't turn on for a few hours after it had been off for a while or resetted. The beeping sound is new.
The computer was custom built by my dad who I can no longer speak to. It is close to 3 years old. It has 511 RAM, an ATI Radeon x850 video card, ECS KV2Lite Motherboard, and an AMD 64 X2 Processor. It has been turned off the "wrong?" way (according to my dad) by my family (lol grandpa, mom, and I) many times (holding down the power button to shutdown within 5 seconds or so, while it's still running). My monitor must be 6 years old at most.
I would like to fix the computer inexpensively and effectively, but I don't even know what the problem is. It would be nice if anyone on these forums could let me know the lingo or general summary of this problem so I could accuratly give the information to a tech person that can physically fix the problem. Or could it be that the computer is just dying of wear and tear? If I have the money, would you recommend buying a new computer?

I had the same problem on my EVGA A1 mb, ended up being my OZ RAM.
