Let us know if you have any questions!
Since this is a new PC you might also want to keep in mind that overclocking will void your warranty. Id say use you computer as standard for a while, then determine whether or not you think it really needs to be overclocked, unless of coures if thats what you bought it for in the first place and dont mind voiding the warranty.![]()
i need to overclock it 2 3.0 ghz it wont void the worrenty i asked
One, Overclocking Any Part of Your Dell Computer Is In No Way Recommended
seems to say in layman's terms: "Overclocking is not covered by your warrenty, and any damage incurred will not be covered by said warrenty."
Two, its a celeron processor, overclocking it is a waste of time. Lets completely ignore the fact that overclocking an intel processor takes some effort to begin with. For that matter, lets ignore the fact Intel is strictly against this and they will not replace the part unless by replace you mean buy a new one. Intel stress tests their processors, if it passes the test at 2.4ghz and fails the 2.6ghz test, its labeled as a 2.4ghz processor. Intel explicity manufactures Celerons, however they also mark Pentium 4's that fail to meet the requirements of a P4 as a Celeron.
Thirdly, this seems like this is a more of a want more then a need. You don't need to overclock anything,
Suggestion: Don't overclock it
i bought a new grapics and i want to play doom 3 on a 3.0ghz computer plz help me overcloking the processor
Doom3 Requirements
2.4ghz will be fine for Doom3, Half-Life 2, etc. However, if your PC does not have at least 512mb of RAM, you're sunk.
Also, a decent and by decent I mean almost top of the line Video Card or whatever your computer can support without shorting itself out, is needed more then a 3ghz Processor.
In whichcase, If you want to play Doom3 at the highest possible settings, I would suggest shelling out for a decent PC and not the Dell Special thats on TV...
can u huys plz help me oercloking this
