PC upgrading confusion-where to start

Re: PC upgrading confusion-where to start
Could well have been a heat issue with all the dirt and crudded fans.

yo yo yo,
I just added 512mb of ram, it registered it and it sped up load times and what not.
But........
My CPU is running at 100% watching a youtube video and looking at my task manager and I want to upgrade my CPU and that's all. What type of CPU (processor thing a ma bob) would you prefer for my PC?
-
We will have to look up the specs again for the thing a ma bob.
Regardless your CPU should not be running 100%.
Click the Processes tab. What process is using the CPU?
-
-
start Run... services.msc
Scroll down to Indexing Service
If it is running turn it off and set it to manual.
Restart your computer and see if it comes back.
If it does it could be a malware issue.
As to the specs; thanks; I already reloaded your pages:
Product Specifications
I have found no clear answer yet but with that 200W PSU I doubt there is much upgrading you can do unless you upgrade that as well.
-
ok followed all the instructions,
rebooted "indexing service" stayed in manual
I run:
AVG 08
Malware Megabytes Anitmalware
errorsmart pro
PSI (program updating program)
tune up utilities 09
very often in safe mode and they haven't found any "infected files"
-
So is that service still running?
cisvc.exe
What is the CPU usage now?
As to your CPU I can find no hope of upgrading. Sorry.

I also got a hijack this log but I can't find a way to upload it ALT+Print Screen won't work for some reason and the log file can't be renamed so I can add it to attachments.

srry,
CPU is the same but PC is defintely responding much better/faster
-
Its not like always running at 100%, but running a youtube.com video and taskmanager causes my CPU to go 100%
I just want to make sure were on the same page
so that's not normal for 100% CPU usage for what I am doing/using?
