    Power mac?

Im not sure if this is the correct place for this thread.
I'm trying to get a Power mac G5 that is about 2.5 years old for $300, which gives me a lot of room for upgrades :]. The computer is the tower only however. So I plan on picking up a wireless mighty mouse, and ill look for an aftermarket wireless keyboard, as the wireless keyboard made by Apple is trash.
But I was wondering if there were any after market motherboard and core 2 duo, or even quad core processor that could go into a Power mac G5, and will be able to run Leopard 10.5.5.

    Other Thoughts:
I plan on getting Adobe Creative Suite or Adobe Master Suite (legitimate copies of course)
I understand that the RAM is upgradeable to 16 GB. I'm thinking of putting 4GB in it.
I plan on using this computer for media projects, Web Design, Flash, Etc.
I was wondering what aftermarket video card would be appropriate for things like this.
[the monitor I plan on using is a 42 inch LCD AVI-HDMI hookup]

    All help would be great.

I am not personally familiar with this hardware but will browse the data as time permits.

I came across a mac pro for 500. Although it has experienced some surge problems. What are the consequences if i do end up buying this.
