    AMD Socket A Motherboard stockists???

Oh well after 4 and a half years my ASUS A7V600-X mobo has finally given up the ghost... i had initially passed the PC onto my neighbour for their daughters high school work, but it has now been handed back to me to fix!!!!

I think its dead as the PSU popped which i have replaced... and the Computer will now not post beep when i turn it on!!! I have tried the Processor in an identical mobo and it works fine, i have also tried powering up with no RAM Graphics card etc... no post beeps... so i think the mobo is the problem.

Anyways, IMO the pc is still in good working order i know the HDD, RAM and CPU still work so i really would like to find a cheap replacement for the mobo!!

So the question is where can i find a cheap replacement AMD Socket A (k7) board??

Ebuyer only sell a £30 AsRock..

    Specs are:

    AMD 2500+
    1 GB 333 DDR ram
    Ati Radeon 9800 pro 128MB AGP 4/8x
    80GB Maxator HDD

If anyone has one knocking about send it on to me

    Thanks

To be honest with you, £30 isn't that bad a price. Socket A motherboards are in short supply, the majority of places don't stock them any more because it's an ageing standard.

If £30 is too much, your best bet is eBay and get a used or highly reduced one. You could also try your local PC store, they might have some old stock, but it is likely that it will still be in the £30 price range. Had a look at my local stores and one has the same MoBo at £42 and another at £32.89.
