    Another graphics question

Hi, was wondering if I could get some advice on a graphics cards.
I recently felt that I needed to upgrade my card, so I checked it out and saw that I needed a PCI card. I found one on ebay, an ATI X1950 XTX 512mb and i bought it.
However when I went to install it, I see it needs its own power supply. So I got the PCI power converter lead, but when I try to put it in, I'm not sure that there is a power supply I can plug it into. My computer's a Fujitsu-siemens Scaleo P if that helps anyone.
If anyone knows how and if I can solve this, it would be much appreciated.

    Cheers,

First off you mean PCI_E not PCI.

You should have a PCI_E ready PSU for this card. It would have PCI_E dedicated leads.

You can try your "adapter" although it risks burning out your current PSU.

The adapter connects to the 6 pin on the card then hooks into 2 x 4 pin molex from your current PSU.

If you have no free molex connectors then you will need to get splitters.

Again the best solution is a new PSU. PCI_E ready and at least 650 Watts.
