Help required to pair up motherboard and processor

I trying to build a new build and buying parts from different sources whenever I thin I see a bargain

    I recently bought

    2x1 Redition 1GB DDR2 PC2 5300 RAM for £20

    I've been offered a ECS P965T-A for £20

    http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Compo...roductId=26900

What I was wondering is the processor that I currently use compatible or would I be better off if I can afford it to buy a new one.

    my current processor is a

    Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    thanks

    scott

That motherboard will support your CPU and RAM but it could also support a much better CPU and RAM.

    Memory 4 x 240-pin DDR2 DIMM socket support up to 8 GB, Support DDR2 800/667/533 MHz DDR2 Memory
