Providing one of the latest and fastest DDR2 RAM technologies on the market, the RK886EX uses DDR2-533 RAM with capacities from 512MB up to 2GB.

I have every link you posted in my favorites section about 2 months ago. Contacting support through email and phone yeilded negligable results as they don't seem to want me messing around on the inside of their laptop. Thanks for the No answer, saved me some time. Alot of their support is for the new RK-7 which is a 2500 dollar and up laptop. This laptop is used by police and the military like the panasonic toughbooks which I already own one (CF-48, P4 M processor, 512 mb 200 pin sodimm ddr-266 pc2100 sdram. See I know what the panasonic takes and 1 of the 256 mb sticks is soldered in permanent. Everst picked it right up. And panasonics website gives you the specs. None, I mean none of the sites on the web from Amrel to you name it gives the specs on the ram in these machines. Its a trip like being Sherlock Holmes because it aint like I've not done my research.

Been to their site. When you click on manufacturer it doesn't list Amrel although they say Amrel in the paragragh off to the side. Usually when I contact these websites they only have AC adapters and Batteries, and they are for the older RT 386 and 586 models. I made the mistake once already buying a durecell battery that was suppossed to fit my amrel laptop but the one that was sent fit an older model and wasn't even close to matching my battery bay.

All I can do is shoot my own searching skills at you for what it is worth.

Anyway that is what I am doing.

AMREL designed ROCKY with an open architecture, which allows the CPU/HDD/RAM to be easily upgraded.

I appreciate just rapping with you jephree. I'm sorry I got to point out I did a lot of homework on this one before I decided to post this. I have been just cruzin the site in recent weeks and not posting trying to get an answer on my own but to no avail. Your'e starting to see what I'm up against and being a Harley Wrencher I'm a stubborn cuss.
