not my line of knowledge but just incase you want some replies -

are you sure you inserted the new CPU properly? did you check all the pins on the processor? do you apply and sort of thermal compound to the CPU when you installed it.

What is the make and model of the motherboard?

Are you sure that it supports that CPU?

Do you have the latest BIOS?

Also that is a very small PSU and could be an issue.

    Thermal paste is very necessary!

CPU_Z can ID your innards but don't use this computer without thermal paste!

It's like running a car with no oil!

    See this:

    http://www.d-a-l.com/help/showthread.php?t=52630

500 watt PSU's which are standard today run @ $100-$150 USD.

Of course no scans will work if it won't boot.

The motherboard should be labeled with an ID.

We can hope that the CPU was not fried.

Most motherboards at least attempt to shut down prior to major damage.

There are some guides in this Google:

    http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...tall+psu+guide

It's simple: 3 or 4 screws; unplugging all the lines then replugging.

Let us know if you need further clarification.
