    Re: Building a gaming computer

dont get that case. i was looking into cases for quite some time and was told that the Antex 900 is -by far- the best gaming/cooling case around.

heres the link to it if you are interested http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16811129021

i actually also wanted to get that case before but was told the fans aren't as strong as people think so its not a wise choice

    Thanks for that input Anti!

Case selection can be very "tricky".

The fan positions and size are very important but many cases get carried away with the lights and bells and whistles as it were.

As a custom builder I would always want a window panel to see inside.

Not just to admire my sweet hardware but also I always use liquid cooling so seeing that the arteries are flowing smoothly is a big plus.

I suppose the next step is modding where if you are so inclined you can make your own case quite easily.

    Anyway

oh and also, as Jephree has mentioned in an earlier post i believe. he said that the 8900 is on the horizon or something like that! sorry cant remember and dont wanna click page 2 lol

but yeah, ive also read (i read alot >.<) that the 8800 GTX is NOT worth it for its money. a nicely overclocked GTS will perform to your needs easily. - although if you have the cash for an 8800GTX then go for it of course but if you are trying to keep the prices a little bit down a 8800GTS is, as i said, when nicley overclocked a nice card

but the reason im posting is not because of that but, the 9800 is on the horizon baby! so wait out for that and pay a bucket for it lol, actually take that last statement away, they have said its gonna be easy on the wallet!... well...on the 9600 they did so lets hope

so tbh, wait it out and buy that or buy an 8800GTS because its ALOT cheaper then the GTX and can easily perform up to its standard (so ive read on EVGA forums)

thats the reason i got mine

oh by the way, i searched it out on the EVGA forums for ya and found a release date for it.

    http://www.vr-zone.com/articles/GeFo...11th/5560.html

should be an alright card i hope, the 9600 is meant to be worse then the 8800 GT lol and dearer...so that failed, but hopefully this one will be nice

Hey Jephree, if possible can you try to find one little less expensive one that will do what I need? Thanks.

    That Enermax was $199.

    This Thermaltake is $149:

Here are other brands set in the category of:

    Home > Categories > Power Supplies > Power Supplies (x) > Type : ATX12V / EPS12V (x) > Price : $100 - $200 (x) (1-20 of 97 Results)

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...24100+-+%24200

    You need this type: Type : ATX12V / EPS12V

And I would not go less than $100 nor less than 500Watts.

    This one looks decent:
