Hey,
I'm looking to build my another computer and this time i'm willing to spend 1500 - 2000AU on the system. Maybe even more ^.^
Is SLI a very good idea?
I don't even have a base idea of what MB/CPU or anyhing so i'm kinda in the dark.

Thanks heaps.
SLi is a great idea for gaming.
The best boards have three PCI_E X16 slots. The two upper and lower for graphics cards and the center for a Physics card. All three are then bridged into SLi.
If you can afford that setup you are running a state of the art machine.
Especially with dual 8800's.
Please repost those shopping sites you used last time and we can shop with you.
Will look as time allows.
I got to head out to school.
So I'll catch ya later.
Thanks
I started grabbing the best and lost the budget I think.
The following is just mobo: CPU: and Graphics (just a single card)

That other site has a larger selection but you cannot direct link to products which makes it hard in this case to pick and choose.
They do have the higher end 8800GTX:
LEADTEK 8800GTX 768MB PCI-E X16 VIDEO CARD
Price inc GST - $665.50
This card is awesome. I use two of these (from XFX) in my gaming machine but that machine was over $5,000 USD total.
In my opinion for a gaming machine the Graphics card is the center piece. Get the best. Then the PSU/motherboard/CPU/RAM, although the foundation of the computer, become supportive roles.
Get the best graphics card out there then build on your budget to support it. Again this applies exclusively to gaming machines.
If you use the previously listed PSU/CPU/RAM/mobo plus this 8800GTX you're now at $1,500.
So you need a case and drives. I suggest a full tower with multiple fans front and rear. Top and side optional.
Two 500GB drives would be nice. Then a DVD/CD. I still always include a floppy drive as well.

I have a 520 powerspply so. I guess we don't need one?
LEADTEK 8800GTX 768MB PCI-E X16 VIDEO CARD
Oh and about this.
If we could manage to get the rest of the PC costing around 1000 give or take I think it'd be awesome dual sli'ing that bad boy.
But the more i think about it I probbaly shouldn't blow all the funds on that.
Might stick wth 512's
