    The only problem is the ASUS site is often broken as it is now so I can look no further.

    They should be on the motherboard CD as well. Did you install all the drivers off the CD that came with the motherboard? You are looking for the Audio driver in particular.

    As to the cursor look in your BIOS Setup for any "quick start" options.

    i got it from the internet and now i can hear sound.
    those drivers in the cd what are they for?
    if i didnt install them what will happen?

    The motherboard drivers are basically for the Chipset; the LAN (or network connections); audio; etc.

    They enable the motherboard to communicate with particular operating systems. You should install them.

    As to the BIOS it depends on the motherboard. Try looking at all the options under "General" and or "Boot". Most have an option for either an extended or quick boot POST.
