If you can afford to put an 8800 graphics card in there you'd have a nice setup going.

    That should do it.

The Graphics Card would be: Gigabyte 8800GT 256MB

They make other models with more memory so 256MB will be the least expensive.

This is the CPU support list for the M3A

    AMD® Socket AM2+ Phenom™ FX / Phenom X4 / Phenom X2 / Athlon™ X2 / Sempron™
    AMD Socket AM2 Athlon 64 X2 / Athlon 64 FX / Athlon 64 / Sempron
    AMD Cool'n'Quiet™ Technology

    This is the RAM:

    4 x DIMM, max. 8GB, DDR2 1066 / 800 / 667 / 533, ECC and non-ECC, un-buffered memory
    Dual channel memory architecture
    * DDR2 1066 is supported by AM2+ CPU only
    * Refer to www.asus.com or user manual for Memory QVL (Qualify Vendor List)

    Here is the ASUS page:

    http://usa.asus.com/products.aspx?l1...34&modelmenu=1

    Manual here: http://dlsvr03.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/.../e3422_m3a.zip

I'd suggest 2GB RAM. 2 sticks of 1GB that will be dual channel.

    I'd suggest a PSU from 500 to 600 Watts.

I think most computer builders buy on-line so there is not really enough demand for local retailers to stock much of a variety.

Everything = Yes except the PSU. Totally not good.

The second RAM is best: 2 X 1GB Kingston.

You need a PSU that is both "dual core" and "PCI_E" Ready.

Dual core offers the 4/8 pin ATX and PCI_E offers the 6 pin PCI_E.

Do not buy a cheap PSU. This price range should be @ $50>$150.

This one is very good if you can afford it:

This is a bit cheaper but still good:

    That all looks good.

You do not need item #1 (RAM heat spreader). That Kingston RAM has heat spreaders. They are basically just a metal envelope to distribute the heat release.

The only thing I would consider upgrading is the graphics card. That looks like a good card for the price but if possible I would upgrade it.

To go to the next higher end level would be around $175 such as:
