Thanks again and once i confirm this refurb works I will be ordering this card up and will pop back in to report the good the bad or the ugly (maybe from the laptop if I really screw it up) hehe

When I order that I will also pick up one of these
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16899261005
    Probably worth every penny...

And I will just remove the phone line pci card since it would be useless really for me (I have cable modem and wireless router) might even remove the wireless pci card as I have this room wired for rj45 already so no real need to use that feature in this location/home at least...
Ok off to bed 7am will come too soon for me..

But thanks again for all the help and input, hopefully i can get it zoomin with dual monitors soon!

Just a closing chapter on this and again thanks to all who helped narrow the choices down, i ended up going with this card from newegg for 2 main reasons

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127293

First no fans, second no external power supply needed, I am not a gamer and the needs were for more desktop room while doing things like photoshop and whatnot, so this card was a perfect match and has been in the machine and running great (no heat or display issues) for a few months solid now

The only bad part and looking inside my case i would have had to do this with ANY card I put in, was the case had an internal cage area for an HP slide in drive, I had to remove that (nothing perm, all just screwed in) no cuts or modifications were needed) just it was in the way of any card i was going to try and get in there...

Beyond taking that cage out (no loss to me) I am very happy to have my dual displays up and going now.

Sorry for any inconvenience. LOL I sound like Tech Support!

Todays graphics cards are becoming a computer within the computer.

The 8800's are massive! Well worth it too!

Glad you got things going well. Let us know if we can help further.
