    Computer cluster

i have got 5 computers sat in a empty room and i have heard that you can can connect computers together to make a Computer cluster.
it is supposed to be like building your own mini super computer and since they are just sat there doing nothing i thought i would try it.
so if anybody has got any ideas about how to connect them together and get them to work as 1 computer i would be great full.

I've just had a little look round and it is certainly a very interesting topic. One thing that you might want to give a try and looks like something that would be easy to start off with is using a version of Linux bootable from a CD and booting up each PC. All of the PCs can be networked together using standard Ethernet connections and a router. And there you pretty much have an instant cluster, it obviously won't be capable of as much as a cluster with a dedicated OS and high performance networking performance, but it is certainly a start before you move onto bigger and better things. If you want to move on further, using Linux is your best bet.

This is the page with information about CD based clusters.

i once read someware about the paralel processing power of the nvideia Telsa card wich is suposed to be equivalent to a full Terra flop of power.

Obviously its not the same thing but since these cards were capable of being linked in a simaler fashon to a cluster im wandering if prehaps the same might also be true vice versa
