New Battery fitted for date but processor not correct
I changed the battery fas the date was going haywire, and the CPU was shown as a AMD Athlon X86 Family 6 Model 6 Stepping 2 speed 1143Hzl, so I went into the CMOS
Compared to the User Manual the following discrepencies were noted
Advanced Chipset Menu
FSB spread 7N8X deluxe User Manual Default is Disabled
Mine set at 0.5%
CPU Vcore Default set at 1.85V
Mine calculated at 1.75V Can be re-set
CPU speed still showing in Windows as 1143 MHz
Yet it is a XP1800 1.5GHz
Should I restore these default settings????

There should be a general setting to reset Defaults.
This is always a good place to start.
Also do you know if you have your latest BIOS version?

Would you alter
a.the CPU external Frequency
b. the Frequency multiplier (although I have a feeling that 11.5 is correct)
c. CPU VCORE voltage from 1.75v to 1.85v
