that computer would be pretty decent for any average user, however keep in mind two things.

first of all it only has an AGP slot, meaning if you were to choose to buy a graphics card for it, you will have to settle for older and slightly more expensive models. gamer-wise it wouldn't be that good.

and you're only given 2 RAM slots, which means your max RAM speed wouldn't be that high.

good news is it has SATA and uses a Dual Core processor.

however, it mostly depends on what you want it for. if just basic web surfing and basic gaming it should be alright. if you're using it for 3D designing or high-end gaming you might want to reconsider, since the motherboard will slightly restrict you on the uprades.

    cheerios~

i would definitely recommend the ECS nForce 570 motherboard. as it has 4 ram slots you can increase your RAM pretty much. not to mention usually nForce chipsets are pretty good.

and with SLI, you can pretty much run all high end games if you decide to one day dump in 2 7800GT or better.

i'm unsure of your budget, but maybe you might want to invest on the Intel Core 2 Duo, which is technically a Quad-Core processor. because from what i know right now, Dual Core processors are having a huge drop in price.

but then again, i'm still using a single core processor. lol~

    hope i've helped

well for me i guess i would opt for a 2.4ghz processor. coupled with 2GB or RAM or more it would be seriously fast.

of course it would all really be dependent on your budget.

the 199 processor would be good enough for average users. for gamers you might want the 239 or 299 processors (2.4ghz).

those should be more than enough. like i said, dependent on your budget. but even if you are loaded, i'd say best not to buy too high-end processors as Intel's been churning out more and more processors these days.
