DVD upgrade
G'day all,
I currently have a Lite On CD burner and an LG CD-ROM drive installed, and I've ordered an ASUS DVD burner to put it.
I'll probably ditch the CD ROM drive, and have the CD burner and and the DVD burner installed together.
Which one shoud I make the master, and which one the slave? Or should I hook one of them up as the slave to the HDD?
Thanks in advance,
Steve.

I'd put the DVD RW as Master and the CD RW as slave on the Secondary IDE.
If you ever want to burn CD to CD this will allow you to place the source CD in the Master DVD/CD and burn to the slave CD.
Or in other words put you best drive on top (Master)!

Thanks for your help Jephree.
Due to a nasty virus on my system, I had to get rid of the old one and buy a brand spanking new system. I'll have to see if the ASUS drive is compatible with the new system.
Thanks again,
Steve

G'day all,
I took the computer back to where I bought it from and they installed the ASUS drive as a second DVD burner for me, for nix. Very happy now.
Thanks again Jephree for your help
