Hi, I am a current user of a "HP Pavilion PC a1023c-b"
In recent matters, I bought a popular game called "CounterStrike Source"
Thinking that my computer was able to play, after reading the system requirements, I bought it. But it seems it lags, and my computer uses an
"Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family" so I've been wondering was this vid card upgradeable? Or.. well the fact that my computer's video memory is upgradeable? I know everything met the requirements, but seemingly the only reason why I'm lagging on this game is because of my video card.
Hi
CounterStrike Source System Requirements (my nephew loves it)
You don't mention you have a vid card and this game actually needs a video card to run -- it can be a low end one but it won't run stable and properly on just the onboard shared video on a motherboard.Minimum: 1.2 GHz Processor, 256MB RAM, DirectX 7 level graphics card, Windows 2000/XP/ME/98, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection
Recommended: 2.4 GHz Processor, 512MB RAM, DirectX 9 level graphics card, Windows 2000/XP, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection
What you've mentioned, is the "chipset" i.e. Northbridge and Southbridge identity. I'm thinking you don't have a GPU right?
If not then to play this game you'll need one.
