I have just recived the components for my new system
Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6, intel E6400 core2duo, OCZ PC28000 2x1024mb Dual Channel gold, ASUS EN7600GS Silent PCIe Graphics Card, 2xWESTERN DIGITAL 250gb SATA2 HDD, am keeping my HIPER TYPE R PSU.

I have assembled the components as its not my first system ( prob not my last) but i have a problem.

Upon pressing the power switch the cpu fan spins for about 30 seconds then stops, so I removed everything but the proc ram and graphics still the same, so i removed the graphics expecting it the go nuts but nothing.

I have checked my psu it has a 4 pin a 24 pin and the board has a 4 pin on the board to power the pcie slot, so i reverse and put my old system back and all works fine.

Have contacted gigabyte and my parts supplier for help but as yet am still waiting,

Do you mean that, when you removed the graphics card, it wouldn't power up at all?

The proc fan spins then stops spins then stops untill i turn the system off.
rather than bleeping at me.

Think i might have found the ram is the problem that it is to fast as doing some more searching and reading of other peoples problems gave me clues.

So did a online memory check and found out the max speed is 800Mhz and what i ordered is 1000Mhz.
